Chocolates come in different colors and tastes. Some are dark and bitter sweet. They are beneficial to one’s health and have been the subject of many scientific studies. These dark chocolates that are usually made from unprocessed cacao can give great health benefits.

This world is just stressing nowadays. Luckily, dark chocolates can treat emotional stress. One just needs to eat 1.5 ounce of dark chocolate every day for two weeks. It was clinically proven. Dark chocolate has the stimulants theobromine and caffeine as well as the anti-depressant serotonin.

Heart Disease
Dark chocolate also have flavonoids. They are anti-oxidants that can help your body fight free radicals. Did you know that the free radicals are one of the main causes of heart disease?

Other great sources of flavonoids are cocoa powder, chocolate syrup, milk chocolate, and semi-sweet chips.

Dark chocolates can reduce the level of bad cholesterol by 10 percent, too.

To enjoy these benefits does not mean that you have to devour packs and packs of dark chocolate every day. Do not consume more than 3.5 ounce of dark chocolate on a regular basis or you’ll suffer more than you’ll benefit. Take note that milk can counteract dark chocolate so do not take both of them at once.
